Best of luck to you. It will be a lot better when you get your own truck as you already know.
I never got the chance to see my wife at all during training. Let me tell you it was trying.
Even though I think I had one of the best trainers at Millis I still think it would have been better for a new hire to get a break. If only for a reset.

I basically drove straight through without hometime as well during my training, but they did route me home once I got my own truck. I wondered if that was a regular experience.

Yes when you get your own truck they alway route you home so you can pick up your stuff. Even experienced guys are asked if they want to be routed home after orientation to pick up their stuff.

Ya i got lucky and had a trainer that went home every 2 weeks. I really think that helped during training. Staying our 5 to 6 weeks with my trainer probably would've led to problems lol. Being able to get away, see family, and not be in the truck for 2 or 3 days was needed

Isn't that the truth. I don't see how people that work for companies that team do it without an excessive murder rate.

Yup especially on that old Millis trainee pay scale. Had to drive at least 4 hours to get paid for the day, and was only getting $72 a day or something like that. These trainees making mileage pay really don't understand how good they have it now. After paying my child support during training i was bringing home like $150 lol. Trainer seen my bring home pay of $88 one week and started understanding why i was in such a hurry to get my own truck lol

####, that hurts, the few bucks you did have left after probably barely covered your daily needs while out, if not falling short.

Just checked inti the Stupid 8 by Richfield not to long ago. Tomorrow it begins.... school.... again.
