    Mindbender,

I got your pm, but I don't have enough posts yet to reply to your pm.

I can give you other details on Millis if you'd like, just tell me what you'd like to know.

Check out their website for details on trainee pay.

Yea I know this is an old thread, but I will use it instead of making a new one about MTI (Millis Training Institute).

Just asking those current Millis drivers to reply on some info that is on the MTI website.

    >School costs
$2500, with $500 up front and they may finance the remaining $2000.
(is there interest added? can you just pay 2500 up front - any advantage to that?)

    >Training pay (on a truck)
    First 3 weeks = $500/wk
    4 week = $550/wk
    5-8 week = $600/wk

    >Pay (non per diem) Starting = $.32 /practical

    >Additional Pay
    2000 - 2500 miles = extra $.03/m
    2501 - 2999 = extra $.04/m
    3000 + = extra $.05/m

    >Hometime is
    36hrs for 7 days out.
    72hrs for 14 days out
4.5 days for 21 days out.

    >Vacation is
    1wk for 1 yr.
    2wk for 2 yr.
(the website also has a place where it says 6mo = 1 wk vacation and 1 yr = 2 wks vacation.)

Can any of y'all that drive for Millis or going thru MTI verifiy if these ar ecorrect.
Just getting my ducks in a row! :biggrin_25525:
    Thx in advance!:biggrin_25514:

not sure about interest on the school money would have to call and ask about that but at one time they would let you pay the money up front if you wanted to. as far as everything else looked correct to me. also as far as home time goes they are pretty leniant about it as if you are home and need a extra day off for something they wont say much unless you are under a load that has to be delivered that day.

Does Millis still have a schooling contract that requires to drive for them for 2 years, if you dont they add an extra $2500 on to your bill?

I cant seem to find it on the website, but have seen it in the forums.

You can get this information from their website. It tells you about the school as well as pay and benefits. I have been checking them out for the last couple of weeks. I have narrowed my choice to them and Roehl.

I talked to a gal there and I think she said you sign on for 1 year. Probably have to call for verification.

I posted on here somewhere about the details of MTI....

The school is $2500 and then the trainer time is technically $2500.
So if you stay 1+yr, the trainer charge is waived.

If you leave before the 1yr, you owe $2500 for MTI and $2500 for the trainer. So if you want to do this, STAY THE YEAR!

A guy here in Milwaukee went through MTI then trainer time then assigned his own truck. He quit 1 week later. Right now, he owes around $4400 to Millis. It was an UGLY story......he had one issue after the next until they all compounded to his leaving.

    :biggrin_25513:

PS. I dont know how aggressive Millis pursues people that leave..but I am sure his DAC is trashed.

Do you know what MILLIS did to him that made him quit? $4400 is a lot of money!
