Guys, Yea..I know ALL of the details, but he has not been on this site in months and I don't think it's fair to make any additional comments, as he never posted any conclusion to his venture. I am sure he is embarrassed as it took him over 2 weeks (once home) to even tell me.
However, I will say this much:
50% of the issues he had out on his 1 and only solo week either could be expected or should be expected and I don't think it's fair to blame Millis for crap that happens at any major OTR company. People need to do their homework and have a good support system of friends to reach out to, if difficulty happens out here.
The other 50% were Millis issues. Suffice to say, if I didn't know any better I would think they had it out for him since day 1. Too bad too, cause he was a good guy and just wanted a chance. I wish he would have brought concerns to Mike Millis. When I met Mike in person at the company headquarters, I felt he was a straight forward guy that might be interested in issues within his company. At least I would hope so. If your gonna walk away anyways, what do you have to loose by going right to the TOP and asking for help!?
Ever since that 'issue' in NY State with Millis, things have and are changing within the company....So YMMV..wildbill123, Fooman, JustSonny and 1 other person Thank this. -
Update 3/31:
My friend has to pay for the schooling. He sent Mike a certified letter outlining his issues. Mike called him the morning it was delivered. Mike had an 'answer' for everything. Hmm. Yea, I could see that one coming...
Well, as long as he pays it IN FULL before May 1st, Millis agreed to accept $3100 as payment in full. Beyond that, Mike said the entire $4400 balance would come due and the matter would be turned over to collections.
I sure feel the love there.
So I guess that answers the question about *if* Millis would pursue this....wildbill123, jtrnr1951 and JustSonny Thank this. -
I drove for millis for a year and 3 months, and got fired. Watch how you use the brakes with beer, i bent 3 of the load bars for the bulkheads and they fired me. 1 month after they fired me they sent me a letter telling me i still owed them 1,000 dollars. I called them back and told them to take me to court over it, have not heard anything since. That was January of this year.
JustSonny Thanks this. -
Just want to send a Happy Easter out to everyone. Especially all of you on the road that are not able to be home with your families.
JustSonny and difference-maker Thank this. -

How long do you have to wait for a trainer driver to pick you up or hear from him?
