I am weighing my words very carefully as I'm writing this. Everyone on this site has differing views on how to go about getting started. Please understand that this is merely my opinion, and I do not feel that it's right for everyone. Be very careful if you choose to go to a school. They will get you a CDL, as long as you are capable of passing. And there are some tremendous schools out there, so please don't think I am not recognizing that fact. However, I know what happens after you graduate. Beware of the recruiters they bring in. I will not speak ill of any company I've never worked for, but I think we all know which ones to stay away from based on the stories you hear or read about. Those are the recruiters that will be coming. If you go that route, it's a really good idea for you to have a company or a couple companies in mind before you go. And research them before you go to school. There are upsides to going to a school vs. company sponsored training. It can be cheaper. And, you are not committed to anyone like I am. It's your choice to make and neither answer is wrong. I will say this. The level of training here is insane. The equipment here is insane. My truck would be considered old by most drivers here, and it's a 2015. The pay for new drivers is off the charts. My dad started driving again about 4 years ago, and I make more than him. I know that I sound like a company guy that drank the Kool-aid, and that's fine. But I really do believe in this place. And by the way, don't email them for info. You'll get a lot more out of a phone call, trust me. Call the recruiting number, ask for Peggi. She's awesome. She knows her stuff, and she used to be a driver.

Yeah, I watched the game. I'd complain about the results, but we were completely unprepared and it showed. It is what it is.
