This is not true in every case. Many companies, especially those hauling haz-mat or government freight, check back for the whole work record listed on your application.
When we have an applicant we're not sure of or don't know personally we always check back all the way.Need4Speed Thanks this. -
By law any gap over 30 days has to be accounted for. You can do this by submitting unemployment documentation, schooling transcripts or by submitting witnessed documents attesting to what you were doing during your employment gap. I had a couple of friends write up a page sign & had stamped at a bank. Problem solved.
It is Millis Transfers choice to accept this. Best to call HR at a trucking company & find out ahead of time what the actual requirements are for your situation before starting the hiring process. Recruiters are often donuts looking to the path of least resistance to getting paid.
Also, requirements can change based on time of year & hiring needs, especially at smaller outfits. -
What about self-employed would they be considered a gap

Maybe I'm reading this/understand incorrect but according to this the only time 10year history comes in would be for someone who has already operated a cmv in a previous job someone explain if im off base
Previous employer check -
Tax returns or a 1099

USMC had a detachment on the USS New Jersey (BB-62) but we rarely saw them. They stayed to themselves; they do some high security stuff on the ships.
