Yo,
I called today and the lady said for me to call back thursday. She said things were a little crammed right now. Said that 2010 would be possible but right now no dates are set.

jtrnr1951 Thanks this. -
Hmm, LOTS of posts on this forum to the contrary, many seem to like it there after muliple years, and MANY give it favorable reviews after working at several other companys.
The fact that this is Your first post, and that You don't seem to share the details except that they are "family owned" and only care for "themselfs" makes Me wonder if perhaps, you are leaving some key information out pertaining to your current Millis situation ?jtrnr1951 and zentrucking Thank this. -
No im not current . There is alot of millis drivers unhappy about what is going on with millis. Lots of drivers have left millis for lots of reasons but there are more of the same . Just seems like they are falling apart. I was warned about what would happen if i worked with them and it happend
jtrnr1951 Thanks this. -
I worked for the Millis crew for two years and they treated me good. Left them for a company closer to my home. I hear there are big changes in the company due to the feds coming down on them - related to the fatality accident in upstate NY. Electronic logs and such.Good luck to ya stroke.
jtrnr1951 Thanks this. -
I'm originally from Port Huron..Now in Nashville..Who are you working for in MI ? if you dont mind ?
-
I drive for a manufacturer (small company fleet) located in the Detroit metro area. Rather not say who at this time.

After being at the Cartersville yard for 3 weeks+ I have heard some simlar stories as this. However, majority of them were leaving due to e-logs and just not wanting to deal with them or they have several tickets/small accidents that will impact them once the scoring goes into effect. Understand - the score of a driver effect the company also.
They are cracking down "big time" from what I can see. The most recent accident really "woke them up". I am no expert by any means and probably know less about this industry than most of you have forgotten, but changes are coming to all companies with CSA 2010 and Millis is no different.
Not defending them per say.....just telling you what I have know and witnessed first hand. -
It's almost like trucking is sorta weeding itself out..with all these rules. I mean i had to jump through a lot of hoops just to get my DOT medical card and CDL learners permit. It may turn out to be good thing if it weeds out a lot of bad drivers, don't know ? just sayin ?
It certainly looks like elogs will be mandatory someday, and it wouldnt surprise me to see "####pit" data recorders on trucks just like aircraft. -
uh huh. just because you have a bad experience, it does not mean thats how they are. suck it up, whiner.
