Boomer 1 what happened to your JETS?
-
Same thing that always happens!
I have learned to live with it, I don't even get that upset anymore. My son, on the other hand, takes it personal. I might have to "block" football from the TV for him.

I hear you on that Boomer 1 now you see why the Steelers got rid on Mr Holmes he is becoming a cancer to the team. He basically quit on them

Heya everyone, I figured that I would update. Still haven't taken any pics
I have really been busy, Fort worth, Boston, Atlanta, Charlotte, Hartford About every state in the east. I hung out with Tillerconnin and Finally Trucking for a Golden Corral breakfast and had a Chinese meal with Dan and Terry{husband and wife} visited the Eden terminal. Spent a night at the Roanoke TA, what a zoo! entertainment out the windshield and on the cb galore. Seen alot of sunshine, rain, snow, you name it. I am sure there is more that I am leaving out. The days go by so fast. Miles are good and so is the truck. I am outside Charlotte again headed back down to Ga.

If you are still in GA on Monday come and see us. I'll be at the terminal in the morning for a little bit if your staying there.

Getting loaded at Owens Brockway took a bit today, until quitting time, then they loaded 3 trucks in 45 minutes after not loading 2 trucks in 3 hours, hmmm, I probably just don't understand how a factory operates
But anyway only made it to South Carolina/Georgia border. I'll roll into Albany about 10am. Hopefully they will roll me out this weekend. I have been split logging the last couple of days and it has worked well. 633 yesterday. But only 443 today. Had time but I was tired. 70 is ate up I am rolling on what I pick up daily. I am learning time management. It hurt me the first couple of weeks but it is improving.

What a weekend. I rolled into Albany about 10am Saturday. I hit ready for dispatch and get the message that I am number 4 on the list. Ok, so I find a sweet spot to park the truck right by a tree and a picnic table, very nice. So I hang out, #### chat, basically kick it. About 8pm I am talking with number 5 on the list and he tells me he has his load. I check the QC, nada for me. I wonder wtf but I figure there are reasons and mine will come. I get up 4am Sunday still nada. Ok, so I am getting a tad impatient so I send a QC asking "Have I been overlooked for a load". No answer. Well I don't want to be out of line so I wait 3 hours and send the same message again, No reply. At this point I do notice the orange light burning solid on the QC. I have never noticed this before. We get QC messages almost weekly that say do not call weekend dispatch inquiring about a load. The phone is for emergencies only. So a half hour goes by and I figure I will call and ask if my QC is working, and innocently inquire about my load. I get dispatch and he tells me ,No, your QC is not working and you have a load to Baltimore due tomarrow at 9am. At this point it is 9am and it is a 15 hr drive. You get the picture, no way I can make it. I shagged butt over to Miller grabbed the load went to Pilot scaled and got rollin'. I drove almost 11 hours and am 4 hours away. I will have to deal with DC during rush hour. My hope is MLK day will help. So I will contact my dispacher in the AM and explain the situation. If the orange light on the QC stays illuminated you will not receive or send messages. Everything else works as normal. Lesson Learned. BTW all I did was move the truck away from the tree.
