hey blown, I will do that. I am pumped to the max, they actually had the first date on the 25th of Jan, had to pass on that one. I sent my 100.00 for the 22nd of Febuary. This is something I've been waiting on a long time. It is time to put the hammer down & balls to the wall.

Hey blown02GT, help me out with per-diem & non per-diem. I talked to a driver that lives in eden, said he had been with MILLIS about 13mths. He said he took the per-diem practical route and he said he knocked down about 1000.00 a week. what do you say???

well i just got done with training, but the way Millis offers their payscales, I went the per-diem route. Whether or not you go HHG or practical is kind of up in the air. Problem is that you get an extra $.02 per mile if you go HHG, so if you typically haul longer hauls (800-1000 miles for instance) you're probably better getting the extra $.02 per mile instead of the extra few miles using practical. If you're going to be doing shorter hauls alot more, than you're probably better off on practical (this being because you're going to more than likely get fewer miles on shorter runs overall spending time at the shipper and receivers). In my opinion, it's going to depend how you run on which one you may more money at. I personally took practical because it's closer to the truth and typically more paid miles than HHG. However, time will tell whether i'll switch that or not. I'm going to run for a while on this and try do some math and figure out what is best. Hopefully one of the drivers that has been here longer will chime in and have a better answer for both of us. My trainer said he is on HHG and went to practical then back to HHG and made more on HHG. I don't know if that is just the way he typically runs or if there is more to it than that. Can't be of much help on that end, but definitely take the per-diem with the way Millis has it set up. Way too many benefits to the per-diem to go the other way.

    Baack Thanks this.

I run perdiem and practical. If i get around 2000 miles in a week then I clear about 520.00. I did run regional but was not making same miles I was OTR, so I went back to otr.

my goal is about 3200-3500 miles/week.. if i can't bring home at least $600/week i'll be coming home.. not worth staying out for less than that unless it was regional or something where you're home more often
