Millis update

Is anyone going down to Cartersville for the Feb, 22nd class?

 

Well, I'm going to the Richfield class on feb 8. I can't wait. I went down to C1 in Indianapolis IN back in Nov, with USA truck and was dropped after a week, so I paid for it and got my CDL anyways.. Now I'm going to Millis. I don't like that I have to go to school again seeing as how I just did it 2 months ago, but, from what my friends tell me (one of which who works for them currently) they're a good enough company that it is worth going to the school to get the job with them. And besides, I will probably learn some things there that I wasn't taught before.

Can't wait, hope to see some of you up here on the 8th.

Yeah.. I shouldn't be going into trucking (short of the fact that I just love to drive for days on end and i love driving tractor-trailers) because I'm so good with computers. But alas, the market is flooded with computer technicians so around here there isn't any work or demand for them. I'd have been in trucking alot sooner, accept I had to wait for my MVR to clean up (i was a bit of a speed demon back in the day) so now that's it's cleaned up.. well... I just wanna get going with it. Besides, I can still do my website design stuff in the sleeper anyways, I mean heck.. I only have 2 laptops right now and buying a new one when I get my tax return back Plus I grew up around trucks, extended family has a few truckers, and my former inlaws are all in trucking too.. so why not join in the family industry

But I can't wait to see you all on the roads and if you get out there and need to get a better CB let me know, give me a call over the radio, my handle is Devil Dealer (sorry I got that handle when i was a used car salesman for awhile) and I can get some REALLY good setups for anyone who wants em. But until then... cya on the forums.

Does MILLIS pickup for all the beer distibuters or do they just do say like MillerCoors? I know they pick up paper materials at Canton, where else do they pickup paper materials?

 

we pick up beer for Budweiser also but we also pick dunnage up at the distributors to take back to the breweries. dunnage is the empty pallets and kegs that get returned. we pick paper up at a lot of different places just about every state you can get a paper load. millis does haul for the same distributors most of the time but we do not do all of them.

 

Just watch out for the bulkhead bars. I got canned for bending to many of them. just watch out for that brake, don't hit it to hard, even if a car is runing a red light.

 

are there certain drivers that will run the NEW YORK runs or does everyone run them???
