Well I called and now have to get the long form faxed over to them. They are going to have the head of training look at my info again. I just needed to know before I headed over there and have them come back and say thanks for coming to school, but we can't hire you. You now owe us $$$$....

I have an appointment with my cardiologist today. Went in this morning to get an echo done. (pictures of the pumper) Then to see Doc at 1130. I have the paperwork that Roehl wants, but I'm going to get the doc to sign off on a release to work so I have something in writing for Millis as well.

Then I need to have my regular doc, who did my DOT physical, fax over the long form to them. Maybe I'll know something by the end of the week... I HOPE THIS ALL WORKS OUT!!!!!

    Lonesome Thanks this.

Yeah in Oct of 2005 had a mild MI. They placed a stent. I was out racing motocross having chest pain on the starting line. I ran the whole moto and just didn't feel right after. Then during the second moto I endo'd (crashed) went flying over the bars and the bike landed on me. I was hurtin, but just thought it was bruises. Then about 3AM my wife, then girlfriend talked me to go to the ER. Low and behold I was having a heart attack. I was living a crappy life at the time.

I was eating crappy, drinking pretty heavy, and a pack a day smoker. Took me a year to completely change things around. Then 3 more to get to the point I'm at now. Making healthier choices and being more active. Though I don't ride at this point, but I know I will again one of these years...

Now I'm on the weight loss kick and just trying to get myself as healthy as I can. I plan to be very positive about the choices I make once I'm out on the road. Fresh fruit, veggies and trying to stay away from those negative effect foods... McDonalds, BK, Wendy's and the like. So that is the story...

So I thought I made my choice, but there was a slight hiccup... Well, let's be honest it was larger than slight. My plan was going to be Millis. I called them last week to ask a question regarding my health and if my health history would cause me to not get hired after school. So I sent the info to them they wanted and low and behold I never got word back. So, I called Millis Friday afternoon and spoke to Deanne about it. She had not heard back from Mike yet so I was told to hold. Then mike answers. He didn't know who I was or what I was calling about. I said hey this is so-n-so he says "hi". I had to explain to him why I was calling. He says "we've filled the spots and you can try back in 6 months." I was under the impression I had a spot. I was only trying to be cautious and not get hung out to dry. I mentioned the question I had and he acted like I was asking something out of the ordinary. He had no recollection o the issue. Then by the end of the conversation he was telling me I could check back at the end of July. Left me feeling a bit confused at the end of it all. I was very nice to the guy and did not really get heated at all. I just let him know that there was a some communication breakdown. If I'd known my health history would not be an issue then I would have had the money in their hands and been scheduled for the school and heading out June 7th for Hamilton Ohio. Instead I'm not going to Millis and heading to Roehl. I want to drive skateboards anyhow...
Which brings me to the reason for writing now. My Cardiologist finally sent over the information to Roehl and I'm currently chewing off my nails waiting to hear back from them. Hoping that I get positive word and my school will be starting a week later and just a little farther away. That is fine because I'll be able to be home for the wife's birthday and have a week off to pack up our place and get us moved out and into the new place.
So today I need some positive MOJO Please! Thanks

Keep your chin up. Things will work out for you. Sometimes a bad thing turns into something good. This may be it for you. Hang in there. You'll be out on the road before you know it and this will all be just a blurr. Good luck # Roehl and keep us posted on how things are progressing.
