I’m using really conservative numbers for an inframe, just so I’m not overestimating.
B50 life for an ISX is 1million mi so I’m using it as a good estimate.

I’m not sure about all that. Werner used to do oil changes based on hours. Made for a good used Truck. I’ve always idled a lot Don’t think it’s as harmful as they say. But it’s an old 12.7. No emissions. Oil has improved a lot, I think the ultra low sulfur diesel is cleaner. Same with cars, unleaded gas made spark plugs and oil last longer. Most auto manufacturers are up to 7-10k oil changes, for warranty Oil gets dirty when engines burning inefficiently. They claim idling is the most inefficient. How much is because it’s not moving, or is literally burning inefficient. I don’t know. My 12.7 can be OH for about 10-11k Including kit head injectors turbo and Labor. But yeah, most inframe are going to be 20-30k these days at a Dealer using all OEM parts.

1. Hanging pipes. They will vibrate and develop cracks over the time. Attach some brackets along the pipes Amazon.com: Pro-Grade, Slim, 1x .6 Cable Tie Mounts With Screws 100 Pack. High Strength, Black Zip Tie Bases For Wire Management. Permanently Anchor To Wall, Desk or Baseboard. Run Cords at Your Home or Office: Home Audio & Theater with blind rivets to hold pipes.
2. Compressor unit top brackets. Compressor unit legs attached only with four spot welds and not designed to withstand rocking forces. You don't want your AC fall thru passing Prius windshield one day.

If your truck leans sideways while parked, the condensation can potentially leak from the indoor unit. In this event, you're going to want to find some way to shift the indoor unit so that it becomes level again. On mine, I have a shelf right under it that I can wedge things under to get the desired level. Another idea would be to install the unit so that it leans to the right when you're on level ground, since(if it's like mine) the drain outlet is on that side.
I would also suggest you use black poly irrigation tubing instead of the thin accordion style hose they give you for the condensation line.lilillill, 86scotty, Snailexpress and 1 other person Thank this. -
Snailexpress and Rideandrepair Thank this.

Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
on another note, because i run reefer, i idle more than 10 hours a day. in summer of course.
i just ran my generatoe all night and it still has a lil bit more than half the tank whichos 1gallon. that is $1,50.
and are you even factoring maintenance, oil changes, wear and tear? your numbers are very far off the real world. as im sure anybody will agree with what im saying.Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
@harold6091, can you post the full link of that mini split rack you posted a pic of? I see it is Amazon but can't see everything to search for it.
ThanksRideandrepair Thanks this. -
My 06 volvo had 1,397,000 miles and 35,000 hrs idle when I retired it.. never major repair.
Their is ZERO reason to high idle an engine that is newer 2004 (egr). Both of my owners manual say NOT TO. My 2015 had it disabled when I got it..
My volvo's factory high was set at 800rpm and after I had the high idle enabled on my 15 isx it's factory setting us also 800. And the only time I high idle is about 15min and only to bring the temp up quicker on cold mornings (after a 15 low idle)
Ryboi website saids your generator will run 8hr at 50% load.... thats 900 watts... your split system used 1,100 (your words) thats a 60% load so according to ryboi your generator CAN'T RUN even 8hr on a full tank....
Oil changes are done by MILEAGE (20,000-25,000) not by hours so idle time has no bearing on it....
My EGR volvo had zero engine repairs ever with 35,000 hours of idle time
My 15 isx had 625,000 miles and in the 225,000 miles I've had it has zero engine repairs and the only def/dpf repairs have been 2 nox sensor, 2 coolant lines (really who would use PLASTIC lines on a 1 box)...
In the real world my numbers are very close. Yours are off... and according to ryboi yours is just wrong...
Again nothing wrong with what you've done, I said I'm doing the same type of system. -
86scotty Thanks this.
