Back in ‘04/‘05/‘06 when i was on the Home depot dedicated account at USX. We had a guaranteed pay. The only caviot was you had to be availble for dispatch all five days (Mon-Fri). Now if i remember correctly, if you were in the shop then you still qualified. No other BS to it.

Minimum pay pays you a guaranteed amount every week as long as you make yourself available to work. Most reputable companies will not deduct your pay, if you had to use the guarantee the previous week. Make sure that you ask the recruiter to provide in writing how the guaranteed pay works.

We run 48 states + Canada OTR as a team, (50% dedicated runs) company guaranteed starting pay for Mon-Sat is nearly $1550/each, we are at the first pay raise (guaranteed amount goes up as well) of a couple dollars short of $1600/week each gross.

Current top guarantee gross is a bit over $1800/week.

Any $ amount of total miles+activity pay that goes over the guarentee is paid.

Sundays are extra & have no bearing on the 6 day guarantee pay - if we work Sunday we get paid like a normal job per mile + pick/stop/drop/hook/detention/security watch, etc.

Blue cross health & dental + some other vision plan is about $53/week including the "better" of the 3 health plans.

Fuel wherever, whenever, how much ever we want, fuel mileage/idling not tied to pay, unlimited blue beacon washes, 65mph trucks with awesome battery powered APU, no recap tires, no super singles, company owned & obsessively maintained equipment, free laundry & lunch at terminals, free company car use, no pet fees, they pay half my trailer storage fee while at home.

Paid on all HUB miles ran, matching 401k, paid holidays, paid personal days, 2 days off per week worked, 1 - 4 weeks paid vacation based on W2 week, flexible time off scheduling, all truck related expenses including cleaning supplies reimbursed.

Company paid $75k life insurance policy per driver, and company paid short term disability, yearly $2200ish safety/performance bonus.

Best part is we only average 3200mi +/- a week as a team, so we end up sitting at a company paid hotel (or truck stop) if we want usually 1 - 2 days a week for downtime between loads currently getting paid $290 a day to watch TV/sleep/check investments/videogames/sightsee.

After years of BS we have come to dislike driving & the associated incredibly unhealthy lifestyle that comes from 6000+mi/week team jobs; this is an alternative that works as well as anything I have found after 3+yrs of searching.

There is always something someone can complain about, but we are pretty happy here.

Not boasting/gloating by any means, just pointing out there are opportunities out there & you should not settle for less.
Keep on the lookout for specialized carriers if you want to be company drivers.

Team, no pet, is a no go for me.
    99% of drivers dont team.
And why does employee pay trailer storage, for no tax incentive?
    Everything else sounds beyond great.

You are in the top 1%.

I meant no pet fees, we have 2 small dogs with us.

The trailer storage is because I can't store it at home with the truck; road is too small & no place to turn around.

Teaming is a requirement based on the type of work we do, fortunately the Mrs. & I get along well together for extended periods of time so it works for us.

As far as pay for actual work done I feel we are doing well, there is another specialized job that we could be making double or more, but no pets allowed & we would be running those high mile weeks again.

Much higher complication of job duties & accompanying stress levels but we agreed if something happens in the future that would lead us to the point of it being feasible, we would at least give it a shot.
(Provided we ever had a reason to leave here.)

either do it with your love ones or no team. we are the only people that think we should not bring pets in the truck, none of these pets look happy to us thru the windshield, almost like bring your kids in the truck

Per how I understand my contract, I cannot comment on either of those questions.

Not hard to find if you are looking, I just cannot confirm/deny.

Trust and believe the minimum guarantee pay is capping ya potentional. I’m sure these companies have it set up where it’s easy to be disqualified and probably can’t be cheated.

Seems as if it’s designed for slackers. I mean, it’s guaranteed money pretty much, where’s the incentive to really work?

Then get yourself checked. Plenty of pets are extremely happy in the cab of a truck. And kids?...Come on man open your mind a little bit. Wow
