    I usually take 840 to avoid Nashville as a whole unless I’m making a pickup or delivery around there. It’s a little longer but it’s not as suicidal as taking 40,65 or 24.

    It's actually only about 5 miles longer to bypass taking 840 across versus running 40 straight through. The time factor is a wash if there's no traffic delays on 40 so it doesn't really make sense to run 40 if you don't have to.
