I'm picking up a trailer today and during my PTI I notice it has 3 different tire sizes. 2 on the same axle. The whole tandem assembly looks strange like this. This is a violation should I be inspected correct?

Yes. Different axles can have different size tires, but all tires on a specific axle have to be the same size.
nextgentrucker, MACK E-6 and Kid Cricket Thank this. -
That's what I thought. The one driver here was wondering why I'm just sitting in the yard and was telling me to run it.Walk Among Us and Trucker61016 Thank this.

The one driver is an idiot.....just saying. As for the axle and tire size. Suspect already covered it.MACK E-6 Thanks this.

Are they a mix of 24.5 and 22.5? What are the 3 different sizes?
Trucker61016, nextgentrucker, wore out and 1 other person Thank this. -
Aren't there 2 different common tires sizes with the same size? I only say this because I ran across it when getting snow chains/tire socks a few years ago. I don't recall what the "2 names for the same size tire" is at the moment.

Lo pro 24.5 is roughly the same as a tall 22.5.
Trucker61016 and tscottme Thank this. -

Another driver is not worried about your CDL. DOT violations follow you for years and hurt your career. I wish I could be there to tell him off for you.
