Unfortunately, you agreed to ambiguous terms on the rate con. Never leave anything open ended on a contract. Especially if they're fee related. I would certainly not pay a dime before I had concrete, verifiable and tested proof that 15k is legit before I paid it too. Don't agree to take it in the shorts via an open checkbook next time you sign a rate con. Good luck.

All depends on the verbiage stated on the rate con that hopefully was negotiated by you and favorable to the carrier.Patilan Thanks this.

Thanks for sharing this. Sorry it cost you but I'm going to be keeping an eye our for that "may be other fees assessed verbiage" on rate cons in the future. I'm not risking losing 15k+ on a load because I get a flat ####ing tire.
Vampire Thanks this. -
$15k is nothing. One project my trucks are on is $225,000/hr if you stop the job. During certain phases of the project the trucks have to be in order and on time or you idle the whole works. The trip is over 800mi one way and almost 400mi of that is off the end of the asphalt. No stress and pressure or anything…Big Road Skateboard and RunningAces Thank this.
