Happened to us, one of our oldest 48 footers disappeared from Burlington Coat Factory.

Watched it travel around the whole east coast via the GPS, ended up in a drop lot in KY after it was pulled out of an Amazon facility where they wouldn't even answer the phone, had to send the sheriff in person to get their attention.

they put more miles on that trailer in a month then we do in 5 years, don't know why it didn't shake apart.

It makes me hate Thievers even more.........
Ya know,What should the penalty be for Stealing in this country?? Im not talking about a candy bar or tic-tac's.....
    Stealing someone elses livelihood,Like a Trailer-Truck,Car,Wallet,Money etc.....

Should we do it like in Casino and Smash their Good Hand into Ground Chuck with a hammer?

I used to park my truck and trailer in a unsecured Yard years ago...Meaning the general public Could simply drive in the yard and have access to my truck- Never had a problem(I was lucky) but is it Wrong to Shoot someone in the leg if you catch them stealing from your livelihood? Not to Kill them, Just make them fall down in pain,,,,,,,,,,

Then- I'd walk up to the Pieces OS, And Point and shake my index finger at them while they are Bleeding in pain and say "Were not EVER gonna do this again are we?" in a motherlike tone only found scolding a young child

If you want a good king pin lock go to a machine shop and have one built from a very high carbon content steel and then hardened so as to make it nearly impossible to cut or drill without specialized tooling. They are easy to build with the right equipment... The ones I have built slide onto the king pin just like a fifthwheel and have a large pin that goes through a hole on one side that lines up with the king pin groove then through another hole on the other side. The pin has a large head one one end and a hole for a large padlock on the other end. Both the body and pin are hardened and will not cut without some serious knowledge of metallurgy or a cutting torch. Once installed they have next to zero movement up and down or any other direction. I went to college to become a machinist and worked in a small machine shop for awhile. We made some for a rancher that had a water tanker go missing out at a desolate desert cattle watering station.

Actually we got pretty lucky in that they only used it as an empty and dropped it 40 miles away..my driver said they even swept it out. We did get compensated for our time though.
