Must be the night for this kind of thing. I just called the cops on a drunk Prime driver here in Rapid City, SD. Cops showed up and arrested him and thanked me for reporting it.

I wouldn't have known he was drunk except he was parked next to me an I heard a loud BANG BANG BANG as he had locked his keys in his truck and was trying to break the window with a rock lol.....I went a few exits down to a different truck stop too do I didn't wake up with flat tires.

Freightliners have a little window in the passenger door that is easy enough to pop out and get inside if you lock the keys in. Of course a drunk wouldn't think of that. Hell, once, a long long time ago when I was a rookie in my very first no jake brake century class with a super ten and a 430 detroit. I locked my keys in.. Then I broke a vent window to get inside. Another driver was laughing at me and then proceeded to show me how to pop that little window out... hahahaha... what a dummazz I was :)

I had to pop out the little view window a few times on my FLD. All it took was a screwdriver, remove the gasket and it comes right out. This guy had a Cascadia and was dead set on breaking the little vent window area. I asked him why don't u just call a locksmith and he told me "because I'm a lease driver" ???? That made no sense either unless he meant that he had spent all his money at the bar/casino and had none left. Either way, he got what was coming to his drunk ###. There is no place in this industry for people like that and it just makes me angry !!!

So if the driver had a few drinks and was gonna go sleep it off, what is the big deal? If he was gonna drive, different story but if he was drinking on off duty time, I don't see the problem.

Well he was under a load and who knows what his plans were. I didn't know if he was going to get into the truck and haul on down the road. Heck, I didn't even know if it WAS his truck he was getting into. And the FMCSA does care, just like in a car, if u are intoxicated and IN the vehicle, it's OWI. I think it is totally unprofessional to be drinking while you are working. I don't care if it is on your 10hr break or not. I felt like I did the right thing and that is all that matters. If he had gone down the road and killed someone I could not have lives easily with that on my conscience. Once u lose a family meme ER to a drunk driver, maybe I can understand how I feel on the situation.

And for the record, he had more than "a few" because he could barley speak, fell over while being given the sobriety test, and when the officer 1st pulled up he was taking a leak next to his trailer with his pants all the way down parked in plain sight of the restruants lol

How about this, Im at Houston loves, trying to wake up. I load later that day. I hear a truck back in next to me and then some really loud music. WTF. I get dressed and peek out and its a gent with a tall budlight sipping and putting it back in cupholder on dash. Sheesh. Playing drums on steering wheel and just having a good time. Lol. It was funny as sad. Keep that s hit on the downlow. I left shortly and used the engine noise to drown his party.

Man, there are some nuts out there.

Well I guess it is a day for idiots. sitting in a rest area in Texas waiting on my 10 hour break to be up. Heard a loud crunch and bang look over to see a new Volvo plowed into the concrete dumpster wall with no one in the seat. After a few seconds the driver stumbles out of the sleeper zipping his pants. Apparently he had to go so bad he forgot to set the brakes and didn't feel it rolling. He's gonna have a hard time explaining that one. Lol

I have 4 keys hidden around my truck. I have a bad habit of locking my keys in the truck.
