Windows 7 has a fax feature. Atleast my new Dell does. Look in your start/all programs menu. It's called Windows Fax and Scan
I used it last week.

the reason i use an HP all in one is it is the only all in one that will work ware i keep it in the truck. paper infeed MUST be in front, and if it was 1/2" wider or taller it wouldn't fit.
i use myfax so i have a 888 fax number and the computer doesn't need to be on to get a fax. when i need something faxed to me i just call and give them my 888 fax number and when i need to i get online and print it. $10 a month and i can send 500 pages and get 500 pages $.10 after that.Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
Myfax also has a nice android app for those with android based phones. I can take a pic with my phone then fax it. It beats paying $2 a page at the TS.
Another Canadian driver and WitchingHour Thank this. -
Thank you everyone for the tips and tricks her eon taking care of the scanning issue. I will look into the MyFax app for my phone too, that sounds like a heck of an idea too.

Ditto. I wasn't even aware of that app.

Digger - Can you confirm the name of the app, I cannot find "MyFax" on the android app store??
Thank you -
I did find MetroFax Mobile and it seems to have good reviews, so if anyone else was looking you can look at this one, and it is free.

Sorry, it is metrofax not myfax. I just signed up for the service the other day and got the names screwed up. I got it because I tried to get a rider pass for my GF but every time I tried to fax her ID over with a TS fax they said it did not come in clear enough. So I got metrofax for my droidx and took pics of her ID and the 2 forms we needed to fill out then used the app and sent em no problem so it works well.

That is pretty cool that I ended up finding the one you have.
The Droid X is a very good phone for sure with everything you can do with it. I think my next one will be the Droid Bionic once it comes out. -
I wanted a Droid X at first, but ended up going with the Droid 2. I like the option of having an actual keyboard, and not being limited to the touch screen keyboard.
