Ehhhh I dont care what a broker or other carrier is making on a given load. Either they pay a rate that works for me, or they dont. Take it or leave it, and move on. I dont hear many people (who have a stable base of their own customers) complain about broker margins. Every time I hear it though, I want to bust out the tiny violin

Don't like brokers? Go find customers. Cant find customers? Time to level up. Listen to some sales audio books. Find a niche. Or relocate to an area with a strong local economy where theres plenty of whatever commodity youre interested in hauling. Get to know the local businesses, get good at ############ with people and remembering names. Ask the guy about his hunting trip, ##### about the schools, the city councel and other crap going on in your local community. It really is that easy. Its just a slow burn.

Build a network of friendly carriers to bounce ideas off of who you can fall back on when you need a hand filling your trailer out (or cant keep up) Wipe each other's butts by paying each other well, staying clear of toes, and rest easy knowing each others customers are in good hands. No more giving a.f. about brokers

 

The point is you should have your equipment inspected by someone more intelligent and credible than your dog.
Is that comprehensible enough?

Bur my dogs are German, and pretty #### smart.

The big question, how are "qualified inspectors" gonna make a broker pay more?
