As if Muthatrucker and Bonehead Truckers wasn't bad enough (I like Bonehead, by the way).
But now we have some crack head telling us how trucking should work.

I’ve never done flatbed, but usually the rates are double or triple what they’re posting now!

 

Depends.
Usually places like Ritchie Bros have mostly day cabs and fleet spec Freightliner or Volvo sleepers but once in a blue moon you might find a Pete or a large Western Star on their lots.
Most of the time assets like large Petes or KWs are repossessed by the financial institutions if they weren’t paid off!.

 

1$ to phx with a flat is even worse than it looks.. one of the worst states to send a flat maybe other than denver

 

Once July hit things have really fallen off a cliff in flatbed

 

I have a close friend in the open deck business that has been in business many years , up until the last 6 months or so he rarely worked weekends and had a long list of states and cities he wouldn't go to as well as a high maintenance wife .
Nowadays he's staying out 2 to 3 weeks and isn't home long when he goes home .
Lots of places he isn't to proud to go to now also .
If things don't turn soon there's going to be alot more of this cause these companies cant run in the red forever .
