Also at wdt you sign a paper that says you have to do a year or you'll owe $5000, the cost of school.

Phase One of Roehl’s CDL training program includes three weeks of training where you earn $616 when you work a full week. You’ll get your first paycheck at the end of your third week. You’ll be training in the same types of trucks and trailers that you’ll be driving. Training covers basic controls, vehicle inspections, speed management, turning, docking, hazard prevention, accident procedures, etc.

Credit card? Make sure it’s no interest and look for one that gives you points.

Does the school have any sort of financial aid or way to split up the payments over time? I'd do what others have suggested here like putting it on a credit card with a no-interest period for the first 12-18 months. Also be careful if you open a credit card because you want that credit limit to be higher than the cost of tuition.

The school I'm attending offered a 'pay-in-full' discount, but I was able to split up the payments monthly on a credit card, which isn't what pay-in-full is but.. I ain't complaining!
