I met Mooniac here on this board over a year ago, gave him my real experience with WS. I also have talked to him about my experience with my new company. He chose for his own need to join WS. He is in orientation now just finished his 1st week. Maybe me posting this will help him to start a thread here in WS. He has become a good friend along with several others in the WS threads. After reading some of the threads I hope he does not have to wait too long for a truck, another driver I recruited to WS said some guys have waited up to 2 weeks. Good luck to him and all my fellow drivers there at WS.

OK "Cage", I'll bring you up to date.... I'm here at Missoula and have made it through the first week. We started with 7 new drivers but lost one on Monday due to high blood pressure. Been interesting and rather hectic the last few days as our company lost a driver on Thursday. Have completed my first drive with no hitches and have also had all my backing and shifting tests. Have one more drive down town and then the hill the first of the week. Working on logs over the weekend. Am enjoying what I'm doing and looking forward to get out in the real world hopefully by next weekend. The previous class that completed their training on Thursday have been assigned their trucks already and are either on there way to them or will be by tomorrow. Instructors and staff have been friendly and very helpful. Have enjoyed a number of drivers as they stop by the terminal. Got to meet the "Flying Scottsman" yesterday and will probably see him again before the weekend is over. Great guy! Maybe we'll get lucky and get to meet the famous "American Trucker" if he passes through as I believe he is in the Pacific NW this weekend.

W/S is a good place to drive. The equipment isn't as new as some companies but most of the trucks run well. The thing I like about the company is that you are known by your name not some number. We lost a driver last we, the first in many years, and I was amazed that as far as I could tell, every driver in the company was personally contacted by management and told about the incident. This company does treat their employees like family.
