Moore Transport - I'd run away as far as possible from this company. I was promised 100K - 120K to start. That was a lie. Was told i would pay $400.00 family health insurance a month, that was a lie, more like $600.00 a month. They tell you you will be home weekends - lie. They try they're hardest to keep you out. Dispatchers are ### holes, especially Tim in Baltimore. You have a problem on the road , good luck trying to get a hold of someone. You get a speeding ticket or a safety violation they suspend you for a week, second offense you are fired... They have electronic logs in there trucks, you go over your time, you are fired. They handed me a load out of Toledo, OH, 3 way going towards Mechanicsburg, Pa. I would have been 150 miles from the house or 100 miles from Baltimore, they wanted me to deadhead 400 miles back to Toledo for free. They expect you to sleep in that truck 24/7 did away with the motel lodging card. I have 28 years driving experience 21 of those years hauling cars this is probably the worst I've seen. The car hauling industry has gone to Hell... This is a real SCAB outfit to work for...

People are the first ingredient in the Moore P.R.I.D.E. program and our drivers are the most important of those People. Drivers are the first and last person most of our customers will ever see. We strive to present ourselves with a professional appearance, amiable attitude, and error free product. In as much, we know what it takes to recruit, retain, and reward our drivers to provide that very culture.
Drivers with Moore Transport are among the elite and therefore earn an elite wage. Our average Driver at Moore will earn $90,000 per year. In addition to excellent pay, we provide all of our employees with company paid benefits that include:

    • Blue Cross Blue Shield
      Health Insurance
    • Dental Insurance
    • Life Insurance
    • 401k with Employer Matching
    • Long-Term Disability
    • Paid Holidays

    • Vacation Pay
    • Safety Incentives
    • Damage Prevention Incentives
    • Training Pay
    • Direct Deposit
    • Online Apps for 401k, Check Stubs,
      and Tax Statements

All of the above are benefits provided to each of our employees at no cost to them. Additional benefits are also available.

Ace should've just read the website, clearly it doesn't say $100K-$120K, and I know for a fact Moore pays 100% of the drivers insurance cost, not the family but the driver. Most guys here are very happy, very little turnover. We get new guys from time to time that don't seem to make it very long, usually because they don't work very hard but thats in every company. I make around $100K, I'm home weekends and I am treated with respect. Thats really whats important to me.

Whydrivetruck- you'll do fine. You just have to work M-F, put in a good days work for a good day's pay. If you do that you'll earn good money. Most guys that work earn $100k or better. We have been through a lot of growth lately and have hired some less than desirable carhaulers that want something for nothing. Everyone knows that doesn't happen. As with any job you get out of it what you put in. The nice part is we have good trucks, they treat us fairly and I feel like I'm in a small company even though were a mid sized company. Our terminal managers are good folks, they just have a job to do. Moore Transport has been good for me and my family. I've been with a few other companies and I like it here best. Been hauling cars for 18 years.

Training/orientation is usually 5-6 days out on the road with one of our driver trainers. One day in the office with HR and safety. When you finish you'll go into your truck and should be ready to make money.
