More and more Live loads/unloads on the board!

I don't know if that's just scaring off the competition or bad business sense . First of all , if you can get in the game with just your skin , by all means do it . Worst case scenario , you go broke . You won't die . We've all been there . Second , if you have 50 k invest it in an appreciating asset , a CD , a T Bill, an IRA or hell , buy another power unit and put it to work . If you have 50 k cash I'm assuming you have decent credit and can access credit lines in case of major repair . Use other people's money not your own

 

I see you just joined the TTR, there are plenty of drivers who started out with 50k. I had about that amount when i started.

Personally it's just not what I'd do but every one has their own way of operating . I have credit lines , if I catch a repair order I just run an extra week and pay it off before 30 days

 

And I can advance 45 percent with my carrier on every load so I usually have enough to cover anything minor that may happen on the way on a load

Any of you hauled out of this place? Been here 7.5 hours now. Got in a door about 45 minutes ago, still haven't started loading me.

Was supposed to be a preload that had to drop today in Mt Pleasant, IA.

Was also picking up a load today in Cedar Rapids........was.....::

Just curious if this is the exception or the rule for this place.

I would have left a few hours ago, but it's Kansas and there was literally nothing else to do here today.

They told me "2 hours". I came back inside after that timeframe, and they said "1 hour". They repeats the 1 hour bs until finally putting me in a door to "not" load me.
