Moose lights are not legal on public roads.

I guess the bears (smokey!) would rather turn a blind eye to that instead of writing up report after report of moose/truck crashes. They are out really thick certain times of the year and are a big problem. Almost every truck you see up north has moose lights.

To the OP, many drivers have a lot to say about driving/fog light as well. Mostly it is from not being aimed properly.

4 headlights are legal on the front,

Moose lights are allowed by the Northern Ontario police since the paperwork and loss after a Moose strike is lots more than letting a truck run long range spots shining out into the ditches.

The problem with moose which some who have never seen one on the road in your headlights will not understand is that they DO NOT reflect light. Their eyes do not shine like most other animals, their fur does not reflect like most other animals. The only patch of fur I have seen so far that reflects ANY light is a little bit on the inside of their back legs. It shines a bit of white.

I have had many times that while driving, with high beams on and driving lights, that little patch of fur was the only thing that looked "off" in the distance. Next thing you know after starting to slow down. Voila! A full bull moose waltzing across the road at his own pace.

I would definitely be interested in the HID conversion information as well. Looking forward to it.
