shouldnt matter how old you are, if the reason you got only a 1 yr was because of BP then someone there needs to be drug tested. Your BP is perfect. Better than the norm of 120/80.

No fear there and I HAVE apnea. In my opinion if YOUR personal Doc hasnt ordered it or suggested it , then these see you for a few minutes to sign the form places can get bent.

I have not been asked to prove compliance but I always have the proof and offer it.

 

REPORT THESE PLACES!!!!!! If you fail to do that YOU are part of this problem.

 

How are these medical facilities heads going to earn [from the sleep study centers] their free trip to Hawaii with their favorite young, over-sexed secretary if they are not allowed to "refer" patients there because you piss on their little business arrangement?

 

This is why I go to my family Dr. for my DOT, he knows my history, knows every detail of my medical chart. Chews my butt out every time, politely gives me a 2 yr card. As long as I also didn't get "finger" we shake hands when I leave.

As a former driver and now as a student of Polysomnography Technology (sleep tech.), in all my experience and stuff I am learning, I never knew that 22 years and 1.5 million miles was a guarantee that a person didn't have sleep apnea!

That's great news for me! I have 17 years and about the same amount of miles too. So obviously, I don't have sleep apnea either. Does that mean I can get rid of my CPAP machine???

I wonder if it also means that I don't have Narcolepsy too??????

Maybe I should get back on the road! After all, I never fell asleep at the wheel or killed anyone!!!
How many of you would want to share the highway with me???

Regarding Concentra taking advantage of drivers and bending rules to make a few extra bucks, ISN'T THAT EXACTLY WHAT EVERY SINGLE DRIVER IS DOING BY BENDING HOS, NOT DOING PRETRIPS/REQUIRED MAINTENANCE, SPEEDING, ETC...ETC...???

 

But when its THEM doing and not US its wrong. As for "US" how else are we supposed to make a decent wage?

 

Wonder if the doctor would have sleep apnea if I parked my truck outside his bedroom window at night, high idled my engine all night, engine fan kicking on and off, with my refer set on minus 20 degrees.....
