Glad to see the mods sticking up for the driver in this instance, well done. FCC just looks incredibly petty and childish after this. There's no other way to spin it.
Not only does it make the company look petty and childish, it also brings attention to their ####ty 1 day off per week rule that they have for the OTR guys, which is the absolute worst hometime in the business for W-2 (so don't include the Chicago 1099's) trucking employees.
Because that's why Bzinger was looking for another job. Because FCC only allowed him to have 4 days off per month, and Bzinger wanted a better quality of life than that. Name a W2 trucking company that only allows 3 days off per month, instead of bare minimum 4 - I'll give you a hint, you won't find one. They don't exist. 4 days off per month is the bottom of the barrel for our industry in W2 companies (and probably most 1099's, if I'm being honest).
If FCC was professional, they would've called Bzinger after reading his posts to see what they could do to improve the relationship. Maybe FCC could've recruited him to the regional division, where FCC actually gives those employees 8 days off per month instead of 4. Maybe FCC had some local opportunities for him, seeing as how Bzinger lives in the same metro area as HQ.
But no, FCC decided to go the childish and petty route, which meant they not only lost a seasoned driver, but they have now tarnished their name and reputation with this big brother BS and drawn attention to the fact that they have the worst hometime in the business.
To all the usual FCC cheerleaders (you know who you are, I'm not talking about everyone who posts on the FCC thread), the more you guys come into this thread to defend FCC against this garbage of costing a driver steady income before he could secure his next job, the less authentic it looks when you sing the praises of the company. Your company just cost a driver income for him and his loved ones, now is not the time.
Because it'll make you think, since FCC clearly follows this forum very closely, then are the drivers who constantly write about great miles the norm, or does FCC reward the drivers mileage wise who give their company free and good publicity?
Because FCC clearly knows the real names of the forum members here. And they clearly read the threads about them on here.
And to be clear, the praises some drivers say about FCC on this forum could be legit. In fact, MOST probably are. But when FCC fires an employee for writing about how the work life balance isn't up to his standards, then everything good that other FCC drivers write about the company then immediately comes into question as to how authentic those posts actually are.
In short, with this petty little ######## that this company just pulled, FCC just shot themselves in the foot because now all the good things written about FCC are going to be looked at with a skeptical eye, and rightfully so.
Let me repeat myself: FCC forum members themselves did not shoot themselves in the foot by posting positive and negative things about the company on this forum, but FCC management sure as hell did with this little stunt they just pulled.
This is the second time in a few months that Bzinger has had to deal with low class employers doing him dirty as a result of this forum when he decided to leave, despite Bzinger giving both companies (Moorehouse and now FCC) free and good publicity for years and months at a time.
