    JD at the big box stores are about the same as other brands. Totally different build of mower compared to JD dealers. Get what you pay for. Im cheap too. Have a Toro at home, but a real JD at the property, along with an ooooold Ford 2000 that my grandfather bought. Never letting it go.

    No Home depot close by. Went to Lowes intending to get a JD, but they only had one and it was 4100 - :eek:
    Last time was by there they had a bunch of Jd's but said they cant get em in fast enough.

    I bought a john deere zero turn two weeks ago and the jd dealer said that was the last model machine that their four stores will have until sometime in August when the next shipment comes in.

    The other option is a cub cadet too ...@woreout loves his .
    I'm gonna run this 111 this season and retire it ( preserve it ) and buy a jd or cub next spring .
    May even pay my jd dealer a visit and see what they have to say .
