None really that I'm aware of. And here's the kicker - they've banned them literally because they look scary. One model of rifle is perfectly legal still. Put a composite bodykit on it and because the kit makes it look "military" it then becomes illegal.

Just a personal opinion don't crucify me: I am not one that endorses gun ownership among civilians. I support strict gun laws. If it were up to me, it'd be illegal for civilians to own guns. I think it makes sense to make it difficult and to ban weapons given difficult times. People are about ready to go crazy being locked down. I tend to think they are a false sense of protection. It makes me a bit uncomfortable for civilians to be able to get guns as easily as law enforcement can. Now.....I know America will never ban the 2nd Amendment. Its unrealistic. My opinions are my own and I am not here to force them on anybody. I know what I am dealing with here and I dont want the heat for my thoughts. That said, I've said my piece, and I will bow out and just watch the thread from here.

You certainly have your right to your opinion. I feel the opposite way. Canada already has extremely restrictive laws. No carry, handgun registry, mandatory training/background checks etc. Those of us who want to own one have to jump through a ton of hoops to buy one.

Its not about the firearms, its about the fact he just made up the law and enacted it. It was all done while the world was distracted with Covid. It was sneaky and underhanded.
