Any road in Amish country in the early morning.

I have been in northern Indiana on some two lanes at 45 or 50 mph...come around a corner and there rides an Amish guy in his horse and buggy on his way to work at one of the trailer manufacturers. Seen it more than once.

No, I don't work for Swift, but similar... :biggrin_2559:

I don't know what got into me this time. I always check my atlas, QC, GPS, call shipper, make maps for myself, study the route, compare everything.... But this time.... :biggrin_25513:

I saw a few trucks there. In my co. we don't have to follow their routing.

I had my lock pins on the seven hole. If I knew what the road would be like, I would have moved them up to the first hole. Maybe I am not as good of a driver as you are... :biggrin_25513: After seeing my trlr tires crossing the yellow lines at least once, I did what I could to keep them in my lane but had to go off the road at least a couple times... and being so close to the cliff and the edge of that cliff, yeah, it made me nervous. I'm still a rookie and never drove on a road like that before. Maybe next time will not be so hard. If there's a next time...

Yeah, I meant to say Kaibab National Forest... :biggrin_25526:

Hope I never drive a 18 wheeler there....

It was slightly wet and I don't use jake brake on wet pavement.... :biggrin_25522:

I live in that area and transport "trailers", manufactured homes. Those amish buggies and bike riders annoy me on a daily basis!:biggrin_25510::biggrin_25510:

yeah i was in ohio amish country the other night, i was suprised to see so many out after dark. not safe at all to be rolling around in those things in the day let alone after dark...

i mean doesnt using our nice paved roads go against their way of life in some way? i mean if you can roll on our modern luxurious smooth trails just take it one step farther and get on a ####ing bus already :biggrin_2559:

It is the same, good ole route 321, As I live in Knoxville, Tn myself. I am unsure if it is still an approved truck route.

Some of the back roads heading to Motts around Gettysburg, Pa. Narrow 2 lane roads with tight small town streets to turn down to get to their facility.

The Cross Bronx, from the GW toll plaza to the Bruckner interchange.....
Then again, I grew up there and after all these years I just block it out, so I really couldn't say if it's dangerous or not.

:biggrin_2555: OMG you did that in a truck. :biggrin_2559:

I've been over it many times on my Harley and it's even tight on the bike.
