A lot of guessing going on when it come to placards and knowing the product. Some day you'll be required to tell what you know because of an incident and lets all hope you either know it or where to find it. Roshea is 100% correct just like gasoline doesn't burn either it's the vapors.
Back to OP. My load was an old TD 25 Bulldozer with no engine brake and first heavy load. I made it from MD to UT just had to slow way down.
The load that sounds the worse was War Reserve Nuclear Weapons. On base only because there are special trucks and drivers for OTR.

my uncle used to haul nuke plant clean out material.......3-4 months a year then the rad badge said no more till next year ..........im a dump trucker, so for the load isnt dangerous its the loader operator if hes having a bad day, lol

120' precast concrete T beams stacked 3 high on a 70 ' stretch trailer driven 2 miles to their staging area no straps or chains they thought they were a waste of time. I quit after that load lol
