One complete log home that was disassembled by hand in Poland, loaded on 2 40' ocean containers and shipped to Edwards, Colo. They same guys (a crew of 6) who disassembled the house and loaded the containers were brought to the states to unload the two containers completely by hand, then rebuild the house. It took them 6 hrs to unload each container, and 4 days to build the house, entirely by hand the old fashioned way. Took the US plumbers, electricians, etc. 6 weeks to make the house livable, in Poland, the woman (it was her family home) moved all the furniture and fixtures out in 5 days and they had it disassembled in 3 days.

I always wonder how many people screw their trucks up by NOT turning off the engine on the "rocket launcher"?

I hauled 80 foot trusses on a trailer that only extended to 60 feet, talk about some wide turns. Hauled in a reefer, plates for computer boards,oh and animal blood meant for cancer patients, white blood cells.

I hauled a WWII LCT Higgins boat from Pa. to a private collector just outside of Salt lake City UT. This boat had been used in movies such as saving private Ryan and the HBO series Band of Brothers. This guy in UT. has the largest private collection of WWII artifacts in the U.S.. After I deliverd it he took me on a tour of the hangers filled with old tanks etc., and before I left he handed me a tip....it ended up being a $100.00 bill.
