Wow!!! I’d say you did real well. Lower mileage engine. Considering original one was out of warranty. That’s the difference between a reputable dealer, and the scumbags. They obviously care about their reputation, and want to keep your bussiness. Chances are they had some recourse involved in the financing agreement between them and finance company. That is, they got a kickback. It’s very common, they charge you a higher than actual rate. Finance co. gives them a lump sum kickback. It sucks, but helps, in a case like yours. If you default, dealer loses his kickback, Finance loses the loan. Everyone loses. Usually it takes a lot of bluffing, or flat out threatening. Main thing is, you’re rolling, with credit intact. Now keep doing your homework on that engine, might be a good one worth keeping. Let Us know, how it runs. Could have been a huge disaster. Instead of a minor set back.Glad to hear!

Ok, picked up truck on Monday. When I got there I found out that it was derated down to the 455hp by paccar due to it needing to match the original settings because of all the other electronic ########, or thats what I was told (I hate these new motors). However, all the other safety crap was removed in the programming for me and they installed a new egr valve and did a regen while I waited to ensure it was done. Initial feeling while driving is it does have a little more pep, but I really wont be able to tell for sure until Im hooked to a load and pulling it up hill.

Glad to hear you’re rolling again. Always time later for the little things, if any.WREN Thanks this.

Trying to either lease on with someone now or move forward with doing our own thing again. Either leasing a reefer, buying a cheaper one, or power only to build funds.
Rideandrepair and baha Thank this.
