Motor swap question

    First off, let me say I’m no where near a mechanic.

    How difficult would it be to swap a 12.7L to a N14 on a 97’ W9 with a 13 speed 3:36 gears. I figured there would be some difficulty in the wiring.

    If I had a wrecked donor truck sitting therethat I could get all the parts and pieces and ECM and everything from I'd do it. But if it was just to take out engine from somewhere, and I had to find all the parts I needed piecemeal. It could turn into a nightmare.

    But why? The Detroit was a good engine.

    It would be easier to just put a big cam in it and forget all the electronic mumbo jumbo.
