There are statws regs on size and type of lights, me i have a dual rotator mounted on my headache rack, i made my mount. I have a high rise w900you can also buy one made and ready to bolt on. Pinnicale trailer in west memphis sells them. i also have to strobes mounted on Z mounts on the sides of the sleeper and 4 in the grill and 4 on the trailer. My philosphy is you can never be seen to much and you can always exeed the minimum standard

Not that I am questioning this but I have seen many a guys with just lights in the grill and lights on the end of the load.
So, I wonder where the actual rules are? - I presume somewhere in the FMCSA bible... -
it depends on the state. some states say front and rear, some say 360 degree viewable. build it for the worse case.
i have revolvers that are on black pipe with floor brackets on each end the pipe screws into. one adaptor is bolted to the light and one to the top of my headache rack. they were on 1" square alum with brackets welded but they were to low (was on a flatop before) so i changed them. i do believe IL is a 360 state, so is fl. and i believe some states it depends on your size -
I have seen brackets (as has been mentioned in a previous post) that are in the Iowa 80 flyer (page 50?) that aren't much $ designed to go over the doors. They have some lights also.
A company called AW Direct has a large selection of lights of all sorts (awdirect.com) and have a selection of brackets as well. I also have some strobes and LED's from Whelan's local distributor; they have a pretty good name in that field. Had a mini-lightbar made by Star that didn't hold up well.
Also may want to check state regulations for having warning/emergency lights; my home state of GA has an amber light permit (costs $2, good for 1 year, is a windshield sticker), but no one has ever bugged me about it. -
Nevada, doesn't like to see strobes uncovered, they use to fine you too
