I didnt watch the whole thing, but if i did it, I wouldn't get high while driving lol. Also I would never drive a truck in such poor shape. Taking it slow in a well maintained truck doesn't look to bad tho.

I have been on and seen some unbelievable mountain roads in Turkey (in a car) and Afghanistan (in an MRAP or Rosamak). In Afghanistan, I was near Pakistan, same kind of horrible roads. In both countries, truck ownership is a huge thing and the decorations are drivers showing off their pride and joy. No such thing as HOS, lol. Also saw the Afghan police shaking down truck drivers at gunpoint for "fees" and once saw the Taliban attack an Afghan truck convoy to steal the cargo. The coalition forces saved the truck drivers in that one as it happened about a KM from a small base. Lots of bases were along Highway 1, which ran from Kandahar to Kabul, the major highway and we called it the highway of death. The bases were trying to protect the highway from IEDs and attacks. Didn't always work.

I'm struck by two similarities to the US trucking scene:

    - Abusive trainer (check)
    - Disillusioned trainee realizing trucking isn't what he thought it would be (check)

Just hoping they get paid by something other than by the kilometer. Covering about 20-30 miles per day.... sheesh!
