The next one really needs some serious proof reading because they use snub braking and stab braking interchangeably. Snub braking is the braking technique for long and/or steep grades. Stab braking is an emergency braking technique not particular suited for mountain grades.

Normally i go down at pretty much the same speed i climb it if loaded.
If empty it's different, buy i always keep in mind that if traffic is stop i have to be able to stop to. -
That's fine when there's traffic to judge by. But late at night when your tired and you come around a corner and there's been a rock slide lets hope you can stop with no problem. The situation is to be ready for all situations including the UFO that's parked to checked things out. We see things like that in Nevada. Be ready be safe.

I go down slower than I came up, it's so much safer, not to mention cheaper on the pocket book.
