yeah, I am one slow dog going down a hill and no one has ever hollered at me on the C.B. complaining. But you see a smoker going down and you'll hear a lot of advice coming over the air waves then. The run from Vail into Denver looks like a couple hours and your there, then you start climbing and dropping, and you'll be tossing out that "arrival time" right out the window. And until you do it, you really don't know it! That is an experience you just need to tackle head on, and do it!

weight, weather, grade, traffic, day/night, length, grade.......to many factors to use one overall "rule" for how to go down hills. some days im the guy roaring down the hill, others days im creeping down the same hill... restating what others have said, take your time, go slow, and live to learn.
i will say barreling into a downhill at 65 in a loaded training truck, and learning how to recover safely, will forever convince you that your primary school was nothing more than a kindergarden. (and haveing to sit in back while others do it, just served to reinforce my sworn desire to not go teams. lol) -
I tried teaming once. Wasn't for me ether.

I hauled Tomb Stones, Mausoleums, and other freight for Anderson Trucking. How fast do I want to go down this mountain?. 1000 times, too slow, Just once too fast.
