I can't find much info on that niche of the industry. I think it would be a little bit more exciting than OTR ! Any info would be appreciated!

Boring as hates! I have a friend who works for the movie studios in New Mexico, he keeps busy but it is not glamorous or anything. Mostly he moves different equipment, not always tractor trailers and then just sits around waiting until a vehicle needs to be moved again. You do get fed well, but are not allowed to mingle with the stars or even most of the set crew. I spent a month with him on the set of the Johnny Depp film, Trancendence back in 2012, it was neat but boring. I was a contracted wrecker service, my job was to pick and place derelict cars, trucks, motor homes, etc on the set for special shots, then move them as directed. He was hauling the kitchen trailer around and occasionally was tasked with driving one of the tractor trailers hauling prop pieces past the camera for a shot. Good pay, but it is all union and seniority based, so when you start you get the crap jobs, crap hours, and are lucky to work enough to eat.

    1029384746 Thanks this.
