Moving in 10 days, get endorsements now or wait?

My current boss is actually awesome, I will miss him. He made me a really sweet offer too. He said my position will be there for me if I want it back anytime in the next few months, AND they will put me on as jet-set so I can keep the Vegas residency. I was kind of floored when he offered that.

 

Yes I am alive. I’m running on recaps during training and I have to drive from phoenix to Houston pick up a truck this weekend. I need to figure out how to do a 34 hour reset between now and Monday morning, but I have to drive a company rental 1200 miles in between Saturday morning and Sunday night while on duty. And I have to get Nevada license in the next 21 days or the company will put me out of service, but I haven’t even been in Vegas more than 2 hours since I left Chicago. Hopped off a plane straight into a rental and barely made it to phoenix by midnight last Sunday. I don’t know why I couldn’t just fly to phoenix. But the good news is training is done in a few hours and I’m good for that new position. I’ll be able to haul pretty much anything SNI carries minus tanks and straight trucks. And I also have all the money cuz I ain’t got no time to gamble…

 

Oh baby I’m doing my best to not die in a dumb way. So far so good. A few close calls but I’m alive.

 

I’m going to fly to Houston thankfully. PGA tour is in town and no rental cars. I’m glad for golfers today.

waiting for Uber to take me to the airport now then supposed to pickup a truck tonight. I’m hoping that it’s ready to roll, apparently it was turned in last week.

I’m making a personal goal to stay out for 6 months. This account I can do it. They have a pretty decent stay out incentive. 400 bucks a week every week starting at 3rd week out. Add that to the minimum weekly guaranteed pay and it’s looking like I’m actually about to make a livable wage! Not bad in this economy and jobs market. If I hit the 6 months I arbitrarily picked it will also bring me to just over a year experience.

I’m officially a Nevada resident. Couple things I learned. Nevada DMV appointments are multiple weeks out, sometimes over a month, at the earliest. There’s Only 1 office in all Las Vegas for CDL holders, learned the hard way. Oops wrong one! Haz mat finger prints were easily available for Las Vegas DMV to access and use. They do not issue a hard copy of the license until 7-10 days later thru mail. The temp is good for about 6 months.
