I do not know if this can be done or not so I thought I would ask.
I have driven a Volvo 770 with a 13 speed for about 10 years now the shifter is right next to the seat and very easy to use.I just got a 06 780 13 speed and the shifter is in the middle of the floor I didn't think it would be that big of a deal but I hate it there. is there any way for me to move it over by the seat and if so what would I need. I looked under the truck and it does have two holes one were the shifter comes out and one next to it by the seat.
Thank you for your time.

Shifter bar can be easily heated and bent to where you like it.
-
You cud buy a stick with a bend in it. Freightliner I used to drive had a bent stick brought it right over beside the seat
-
I was thinking the same thing. The Volvos that we have at school have the shifter rod in the center of the floor, with 2 bends that bring the top of it over next to the driver.

The only way to move it to do heat and bend it unless you know how to move the whole transmission over.

bending it is the easy option. the hard option is replace the shifter assembly with a off set shifter tower hole. it's not worth the money or the time to do that. a fire wrench is the best way.
