Thanks for your question, mover man. We get this question from time-to-time when members wonder why there isn't an occupation-specific forum for their own particular segment of the trucking industry. The segments being inquired about change, but the answer doesn't change, so this is something of a canned answer.

The purpose of having different sub-forums is to organize existing discussion. It might seem as if having a forum for every segment of the industry would be helpful in creating more discussion, but that's just not the way it works. Creating a sub-forum doesn't create the discussion to fill it up, we need to have the discussion already ongoing to justify creating a forum to organize that discussion.

If you're interested in trying to get enough discussion going to see if we can make it work, a good start is to create a thread on that segment of the industry. If the discussion in that thread becomes too much for one thread and inspires the creation of different threads to discuss particular aspects of that segment, then we would start to see the need for a sub-forum to organize all of those discussions.

Feel free to start a thread on the moving/specialized segment in the Experienced Drivers Forum to see how much activity it gets. We'll watch it and go from there.
