Not true at all, you can increase performance/power and use less fuel. It has been proven, just go to the garage section of the forum and read on my experience with the Bully Dog tuner, or the many happy users of a PDI tune from Mr. Haney. With the Bully Dog I have picked up half mile per gallon on average, and there was a considerable amount of power added to do this. Winter fuel economy always go down over summer, cold air is more dense, creating a stronger drag effect and is harder to push thru, not to mention the fact that there is almost always more wind in the winter vs the summer. Winter fuel is also a big factor as outlined above.

Since this IS in the flatbed section,

Load types will effect you also. Some loads just catch air better and create more drag.

Also doesn't it seem like no matter which direction you are going you're always heading into the wind?

I'm no meteorologist but I'd hazard a guess from my years on planet Earth that it's windier in the winter and in summer you know it's so hot you would kill for just a slight breeze!

    fortycalglock and MJ1657 Thank this.
