I have seen that. I heard a very unreliable rumor that the Missouri boys were approached about it and they respectfully declined. That’s a truck driver rumor I think as that was several months ago I heard it.
From what I understand a big part of the cattle they run through are from out East. Or at least the LLT trucks usually run east for a haul in. Get a shorty outta the barn about 4-500 miles then reload culls for Georgia or South Carolina abd do it again. Pretty fair pay and work in that round I think

WTF is that ol ####### up too. Doesn’t he know he quit that?
A Facebook memory popped up the other day from 2020. Black truck was backed in the middle chute of the East side of Joplin barn. That’s unload only…….unless your somebody. On a sale day they wanted sale be over, and they wanted a pen hand to bring them that way you didn’t end up in a the left doesn’t know what the rights doing and mix 2 bunches in the alley. Anyway the caption of this photo was “It’s time to do what me and Doc was put on this Earth to do. Y’all keep the wheels on the ground, smoke in the air we gone” I’ve never said anything more true. It’s not a job, it’s not a lifestyle, it’s a calling with only 1 way out. Going to get my trailer last night that ol brown truck was really playing the part. Sounded better more smooth. Coming to the house with it along with that cold February air she was really layin it down. I hadn’t noticed that before, maybe my ECM ain’t grounded good. I do know not every truck doin the job has the heart of a cow truck. Now I don’t believe in I’ll say the unknown. Boys I got something been eatin at me. The ol brown truck needed a wing window on right door, I didn’t realize it till I got it home. You open it and it falls out. Lost Cause fell on her right side, slid 300 feet on pavement, come off the pavement down an embankment and dug itself into the dirt to stop. There is only one piece of glass left in that truck. Ya the right wing window and frame. That whole door is obliterated. Like outter skin gone door panel on inside is even gone. How’s that possible?
That little tid bit as well as the notion I’ll never be done with it led me to “Unfinished Business”
Nothing in my plan has changed just a fill in. A set of calves in Mountain Grove this buyer wants. His steady trucks all loaded out of Joplin Monday night going West scheduled to be in Bama Wednesday to reload west. Insurance renewal comes in April so I’m not sure what I’ll do at that time. Obviously I can’t justify 12K a year on the truck and hopper cargo with an additional 1450.00 a year on my livestock cargo for a hit and miss deal. That’s aprils fire today we stomping on February’scke, Cowpuncher575, Gatordude and 9 others Thank this. -

I have a 5EK in a 96 Pete 377 that I had overhauled at our local cat dealer 4 years ago. Took it back in in the last week of warranty coverage to get a spacer plate leak taken care of since nothing had happened in those 4 years and I felt like getting my money’s worth.
They found #6 cylinder blown out in the head gasket area and a cracked head. So we started with that, then they measured in the area the spacer plate gasket was broken and the two pieces had been chafing on the block and worn a groove 5 or 6 thousandths deep. Long story short I’m getting an out of frame overhaul on Cat’s dime in my last few days of remaining warranty. They say I can get another 3 or 4 years of opt warranty too. So I’m happy, just sharing this with you guys.Attached Files:
