Mud flap brackets snapping off

    I had the old style mud flaps for years and never had one break off when running bobtail unless it had been damaged prior by backing into a curb or something. Take the advice here from all the other drivers and put a spring bracket on. Then if it comes off you will know it's on you...

    Exactly right. The ones without the springs are cheap and that's the only good thing about them.

    I've left many a mudflap on the Cross Bronx & GW Bridge, LOL - those simple steel brackets just break; follow all the advice above and go spring loaded - sounds like you might just get them yourself and be done with listening to the boss!
