Those bolts look a little thin. I will have to check tomorrow. What would the flatbar be needed for? Can't I just slip the mudflaps in between there and bolt them in?

How about a pic of what you took off ?
If it’s made the way that I’m thinking, you just dismantled the whole hanger instead of removing the two nuts.Rideandrepair, lester and gekko1323 Thank this. -
You can see the bar behind the black bracket with the studs attached. The whole hanger is spring loaded so if you unbolt it from the frame without something there to hold it the spring will yank it straight into the hanger. Then its junk.Rideandrepair and gekko1323 Thank this.

thank you! this is the exact style I was thinking of. Too many times I unbolted this style without thinking and wham-oo. junkedRideandrepair, gekko1323 and AModelCat Thank this.

Where can I get those and how much are they?Rideandrepair Thanks this.

The ones I took off were similar to this, albeit with all the lights and crap.
Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
Just about anywhere I'd imagine. Used to get them from the dealer but I see you can buy them on Amazon for about $150 but they'll probably be cheap chrome and not stainless.
I like the angled ones.
Rideandrepair, Diesel Dave and gekko1323 Thank this. -
I'll get on that tomorrow. I can't use the angled ones because my mud flaps are straight. Do they sell these at Love's you think? I have about $70 in points that expire in about 6 days, so I need to spend it.
Edit: Yeah, Love's sells them. I hope they have decent ones. I'll drive on up there tomorrow.Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
Loves with a shop may have them in black.
Most any dealer will have them.Rideandrepair and gekko1323 Thank this. -
Cut to fit.
Don't forget the reflective tape...........Rideandrepair, gekko1323 and Diesel Dave Thank this.
