You need to have a credit or debit card to use mudflap. The mudflap app allows searching a radius around your current location. Also allows a search from A to B looking for participating locations. I've had messages from mudflap offering additional discount if I sign up to use ACH payment instead of my credit card. Simple to setup and easy to use. Good luck
I'm gonna look in to that. I hadn't heard about it. I'm cool with ACH. Not sure why so many aren't. Most of my bills and settlements with brokers are ACH. I've never once had a problem, ever. There is this myth that they'll take money back or whatever. I don't think it's that simple, and if there's a paper trail the truth will prevail. Anyway, not trying to change the subject here. Looks like lots of people are getting some strong Mudflap discounts, at least better than I typically see in the east/southeast.
Some of us get really decent cash rewards for using a CC. For me, it would take an additional 10 cents worth in discount (at current prices) to equal the cash back from my CC.
I like the ACH payment system. Easier than writing a check. I get a text message with any transaction in my account. I would use the ACH to pay mudflap, but I'm getting a cash back CC just to pay mudflap. I use my debit card now.
I use a 2% cash back reward cc for Mudflap payments. This Along with the app discount can be a pretty good savings. Not to mention alot less hassle than fooling with some of the fuel card customer service. I had a Comdata card for a driver and 8 cents off was the biggest discount I ever got. I would rather be poked in the eye than have to deal with Comdata again. It was harder to close the account than it was to open.
Good point. I am doing the same but was thinking more along the lines of simplicity when I typed that above. Cash back is a good thing.
