Mudflap bracket legality

    I agree. Container haulers run without them at all. I’ve been DOT’d missing the whole hanger. Passed. As long as your hooked to a Trailer. Same with a Tractor tail light. Warning if inoperable, w/ a Trailer. Required Lighting if Bobtail, Trailer Lights- Running, turn, and brake lights, are always Required Lighting. OOS Order if not operating, till fixed.

    Anyways, I chickened out and bought two new brackets and mudflaps. Once I get loaded here, I'm going to install everything.

    On the bright side, I got two more mudflaps for edge protection.

    You need a certain area highlighted by the reflective "conspicuity" tape. You can add double the amount of reflective tape to the other mudflap, maybe.

    Are you in the States? Most of us single truck carriers don't have pretrip sheets to hand to DOT, nor are they required.
