Keep the one old bracket. I’ve got one in the garage with a broken spring. Been meaning to swap my bent one out, with it. Along with my new mud flaps I’ve had under the bunk for 10 yrs or longer.

No, it's useless. For whatever reason, when I loosened the nuts that hold that U-bolt, it shot inside the tube. There's no way to fasten it to the truck now. It actually launched the bracket and mudflap about four inches away from the truck before it hit the ground.

Consider it lesson learned what not to back over.

You wouldn't be the first one to do that.

    Common occurrence with dirt haulers.

I had a nice long discussion with the PA DOT about tractor tail lights while hooked up to the trailer. Let's just say that discussion ended with a long list of sins...then again PA DOT are nazis

Yes they are. I got written up for a oil jug I had in the headache rack that was just starting to leak from bouncing around down there. Just a small film of oil they wrote me for.

Because they couldn't find anything else wrong with the truck and trailer

    Yeah, that sounds very familiar.

Legend says there is a trucker out there that passed a PA DOT inspection...

I hear Disney is hiring. The new villain in Obi Wan Kenobi is a black woman Jesus.
