Sheetz is usually the same or cheaper than Mudflap. I stopped using Mudflap when they added the credit card fees.

Mudflap recently added the Maverik stores in our area, or at least the ones that have truck fueling islands. Until Maverik there were no other participating stations here. The first time I used it I got like $.22 off per gallon, but this week it was only $.08. Then, if you use a credit card and pay the 1.9% on 4.29 fuel it's almost a push, but with Mudflap I get an authorization code to type in at the pump and it saves having to go in and pre-authorize.

They must charge the stations something because the 24/7 chain out here dropped them last year and I was told by their Fleet Account manager it was because of their "demands".

Maybe that explains why I saw a Yellow Cab last week in two different metro areas. Making a comeback?The_vett, singlescrewshaker, cke and 1 other person Thank this.

I think you’re right. They probably charge at least the same transaction fee as Visa. Visa makes huge profits just off the transaction fees, none off interest. It’s just a payment system. The different Banks that issue cards through their system make all the interest.IH9300SBA, The_vett, singlescrewshaker and 3 others Thank this.

I’ve noticed that the “nitro card” (Maverick in house card) gives better discounts than Mudflap at Maverick locations around here.cke, The_vett, Oxbow and 1 other person Thank this.

Mudflap discounts dropped as fuel went up. I may have used it once this year. Of course I am running a tiny little area. Even before that they just didn’t have many stations in my running area.

I have NASTIC and mud flap. When prices are going up MF is usually less expensive and when fuel is going doe NASTIC I’d less expensive. NASTIC is still a better overall deal. But having both works best for me. They both have value and the biggest value is if one has a problem I got 2 other options. One with a discount and one without…
The lest expensive( usually) Mudflap in Illinois is in my home town..
If I had to chose one right now it would be Mudflap…. If I was on a left, right or southern routes it would be NASTIC… -
They make money off of you and your data and your whereabouts. Same way the Chinese communist party benefits from owning truckers path. I mean how is that valuable right… nobody actually uses any of the paid features. But knowing where the entire supply chain for fuel, major department store chains, ports of entry and when they open and close and do inspections, fuel depots along with whether they allow parking and the average wait time etc might be pretty valuable for their intelligence community. Or could be sold or traded for something of value.
same thing, except perhaps less nefariousphilsfan Thanks this.
